Here’s my dad.  Jim Garry.  Member in good standing of the Greensboro Tarheel Chorus.  I don’t know what he’d think of having his picture in the New York Times.  My guess?  He’d be a little embarrassed on the outside and tickled pretty pink on the inside.

Father’s Day is typically a fairly low key event at our home (for obvious reasons).

Tomorrow will feel kind of special.
