You’ve read this headline and seen this photo. You can’t even begin to imagine what I wrote about today on nj.com/parenting. If you must know, I wrote about finding just the right au pair.
This is me and Joe, the au pair. We are at Disneyworld, just off the Star Wars ride. Don’t worry. He didn’t go on the ride like that.
This morning I offered my thoughts about the payoff of taking the au pair hunt seriously.
If you take the hunt seriously, your family gets bigger. You wind up with more friends on facebook. And when the fit is right, your kids’ memories will not be about your absence but will be a rich blend of colorful (and yes, imperfect) characters who grow to be as crazy about your kids as you are.
